The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) invited 828 Express Entry candidates to apply for provincial nomination for Canada PR in two Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draws held on February 8, 2022.

Draw Stream Total Invitations issued Minimum CRS Score
1st Draw Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream 622 between 463 and 467
2nd Draw French-Speaking Skilled Worker (FSSW) stream 206 between 463-467

In first immigration draw, a total of 622 invitations went to candidates through OINP’s Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream.

In order to receive an invitation in this draw, these candidates needed to have a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score between 463 and 467 and at least one year of work experience in one of the following six tech occupations:

  • NOC 0213: Computer and information systems managers
  • NOC 2147: Computer engineers
  • NOC 2172: Database analysts and data administrators
  • NOC 2173: Software engineers and designers
  • NOC 2174: Computer programmer and interactive media developers
  • NOC 2175: Web designers and developers

The remaining 206 invitations were issued to candidates through the French-Speaking Skilled Worker (FSSW) stream of OINP with same CRS score requirement of 463- 467.

FSSW candidates, who had a minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of at least 7 in French, and 6 in English, were issued invitations.

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) allows the province to select and nominate eligible foreign workers, international students and others with the required skills, experience and education for a nomination for permanent residence in Ontario.

Express Entry candidates, who received a provincial nomination from OINP or any other Express Entry aligned PNP, automatically get 600 additional points toward their overall CRS score. This almost confirms them an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residence in Federal Express Entry Draws.

Immigration candidates, who received invitations in these draws, now have 45 calendar days to submit their complete application for provincial nomination to Ontario PNP.
