The Canadian province of Ontario invited 815 Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination under the Skilled Trades Stream in new immigration draw conducted on March 10, 2023.
Compared to the draw of March 09, 2023, which attracted healthcare occupations, this OINP draw is only open to nine tech-related occupations, for the EE profiles created between March 10, 2022 – March 10, 2023!
Further more, the Express Entry profiles having a CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score between 479-489 in below NOCs will be receiving the invitation.
- Computer and information systems managers – NOC 20012
- Data Scientists – NOC 21211
- Database analysts and data administrators – NOC 21223
- Computer systems developers and programmers – NOC 21230
- Software engineers and designers – NOC 21231
- Software developers and programmers – NOC 21232
- Web designers – NOC 21233
- Web developers and programmers – NOC 21234
- Computer engineers (except software engineers and designers) – NOC 21311
Ontario’s Provincial Nominee Program – the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) allows the province to select and nominate eligible foreign workers, international students and others with the required skills, experience and education for a nomination for permanent residence in Ontario.
Express Entry candidates, who received a provincial nomination from OINP or any other Express Entry aligned PNP, automatically get 600 additional points towards their overall CRS score. This almost confirms them an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residence in Federal Express Entry Draws.
Candidates, who received an invitation in this immigration draw, now have 45 calendar days to submit their complete application for provincial nomination to OINP.
