latest SINP Draw

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) – the PNP of Canadian province of Saskatchewan invited 269 immigration candidates to apply for provincial nomination for Canadian Permanent Residency in a new draw held on April 22.

The invitations were issued to Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand candidates from the International Skilled Worker category.

DISTRIBUTION OF INVITATIONS

Out of total invites issued, 130 went to candidates under SINP’s Express Entry Subcategory while the remaining 139 candidates secured invitations through Occupations In-Demand Subcategory.

Subcategory Total Invitations Issued Minimum EOI Score
Express Entry 130 70
Occupations In-Demand 139 70

Regardless of the stream, in order to receive an invitation in this draw, candidates were required to:

  • have an Expression of Interest (EOI) score of at least 70
  • work experience in one of the 61 in-demand occupations
  • have obtained an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report from a designated authority

Some of the eligible occupations that received invitations in this draw include medical laboratory technicians, utilities managers, and miners, among others.

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program, or SINP, allows the province to nominate qualified immigration candidates with skills required in its labour market. Express Entry and In-Demand Occupation sub-categories are two prominent streams within the SINP for individuals who have education and work experience in a high-skilled and in-demand occupation.

While a minimum of one year of full-time work experience is essential to apply for both of its subcategories, a job offer or work experience in Canada is not required.

Express Entry candidates, who obtain a nomination through the SINP’s Express Entry sub-category, receive additional 600 points toward their CRS scores, effectively increasing their chances to get an invitation to apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residence in subsequent Express Entry draw.
