276 Skills Immigration candidates received invitations to apply for a provincial nomination in June 16 British Columbia PNP draw

British Columbia

British Columbia invited 276 Skills Immigration and Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence in latest Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw held on June 16.

Invitations went to Skilled Worker and International Graduate candidates in both the Express Entry BC (EEBC) and Skills Immigration streams of British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP).

The minimum score requirements in this draw for the five EEBC and Skills Immigration (SI) categories were:

  • SI – Skilled Worker: 100
  • SI – International Graduate: 100
  • SI – Entry Level and Semi-Skilled: 80
  • EEBC – Skilled Worker: 100
  • EEBC – International Graduate: 103

The Express Entry BC (EEBC) Category allows BCPNP to search & invite qualified candidates with a valid profile in the Federal Express Entry system – the most popular pathway for skilled immigrants to obtain Canadian permanent residence.

The Skills Immigration Category of BCPNP is designed for skilled and semi-skilled workers whose occupations are in high demand in the province.

In order to receive an invitation for provincial nomination through the EEBC, candidates need to be registered under both the federal Express Entry system and B.C.’s Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) whereas Skills Immigration candidates only have to be registered with the SIRS.

BCPNP held three draws so far in June and has invited 642 immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination.
