In its latest Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) Tech Pilot draw held on June 9, British Columbia invited 87 immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence.
The invites were issued to the candidates in the Express Entry BC and Skills Immigration categories of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP).
The minimum score requirement for each category was 82.
BC PNP Tech Pilot program offers a fast-track pathway to permanent residence for certain foreign tech workers who have job offers in one of 29 eligible occupations in British Columbia. The job offer must be for a minimum of one year, and there must be at least 120 days remaining at the time of application.
In order to apply through the Tech Pilot, eligible immigration candidates need to first create a profile through the BC PNP’s online portal and register under its Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS). They must choose to apply through the Skills Immigration or Express Entry BC immigration categories.
Candidates, who fulfill the minimum score requirements are then invited to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence by BCPNP through regular draws.
Invited Express Entry BC candidates, whose applications get approved by BCPNP will automatically receive an additional 600 CRS points toward their comprehensive ranking system (CRS) scores. This effectively guaranties them an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residence in subsequent Federal Express Entry Draw.
Invited candidates will then have 30 calendar days to submit their complete application for provincial nomination to BC PNP.
