This draw invited 58 immigration candidates with a valid job offer in one of the Tech Pilot’s 29 eligible occupations to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence.

The invitations were issued to candidates under the Skilled Worker and International Graduate subcategories of Express Entry BC and Skills immigration categories.

Selected candidates were required to have a minimum provincial score of 80 points in order to receive an invite in this draw.

In order to apply through the Tech Pilot, immigration candidates are required to have a job offer in the province that must be at least one year (365 days) in duration in one of the pilot’s in-demand occupations. The job offer must have at least 120 days remaining at the time of submitting the application.

This is a points-based system that ranks candidates a score based on various factors such as education, work experience, proficiency in English and the job offer they have received.

The BC PNP will then invites highest-scoring candidates in each Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC category candidates to apply for a provincial nomination through regular weekly draws.

Express Entry Candidates will automatically receive an additional 600 CRS points toward their comprehensive ranking system (CRS) scores, if their applications get approved by BCPNP. This effectively guaranties them an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residence in subsequent Federal Express Entry Draw.
