EXPRESS ENTRY DRAW #155: July 8, 2020

3,900 candidates received invitations to apply (ITAs) for permanent residence in July 8 Draw

Canada has resumed conducting all-program Express Entry draws allowing Federal Skilled Worker program (FSWP) and Federal Skilled Trades programs (FSTP) candidates to be eligible to receive invitations to apply (ITAs) for permanent residence.

A total of 3,900 immigration Candidates with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 478 received ITAs in July 8th invitation round.

This was the first all-program Express Entry draw since March 4 as due to coronavirus travel restrictions Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) had temporarily limit draws to Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) and Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates only.

This was primarily due to the fact that PNP and CEC candidates are more likely to be in Canada during this time and therefore are not affected by country’s current travel restrictions.

Since, Express Entry returned to all-program draws for the first time in more than four months; this invitation round featured ITAs to candidates with higher CRS scores.

IRCC applied a tie break in this draw and the time stamp used was February 11 at 13:08:31 UTC. That means all Express Entry candidates with a CRS score of at least 478 or above who submitted their profile before this date & time received ITAs in this round.

This was the 22nd draw of 2020 that brings the total number of ITAs issued this year through Express Entry System to 53,800.
