Express Entry Draw #226 –July 6, 2022

Canada invited 1,500 FSW, CEC, and FST candidates to apply for PR for the first time since 2020

All-Program Express Entry draws have officially resumed!

Canada has invited a total of 1,500 Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Canadian Experience Class (CEC), and Federal Skilled Trades (FST) candidates to apply for permanent residence (PR) in the new all-program Express Entry draw held on July 6, 2022.

The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score cut-off threshold for this draw was 557 points. Due to the large numbers of applicants who had accumulated in the Express Entry system, the CRS score cut-off for this draw was higher than usual FSWP and CEC draws.  As of July 6, 2022, there were a total of 226,849 candidates in the Express Entry pool. Out of this, 9442 candidates had a CRS score of 500 or higher.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) also applied the tie-breaking rule and the time-stamp was set for November 13, 2021, at 02:20:46 UTC. This means that Express Entry candidates who had a CRS score of 557 or more and had submitted their Express Entry profile before this time and date, received an invitation to apply (ITA) in this draw.
