The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP)

Created in 2001, BC PNP allows the province of B.C. to select and nominate qualified prospective economic immigrants for permanent residence status in Canada.

BC PNP uses an online, points-based expression of interest (EOI) system to manage application intake. Applicants need to first register an EOI profile that establishes a point score based on various factors – level of education, work experience, language skills, occupation, and job offer, among others.

The BC PNP then periodically issues invitations to apply for provincial nomination to the highest-scoring candidates.

Upon receiving a nomination from BC PNP, successful candidates can apply to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for Canada PR Visa for themselves and their eligible family members.
