British Columbia invited 407 immigration candidates for provincial nomination on September 15

British Columbia

The province of British Columbia conducted a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw on September 15, 2020.

Total 407 invitations to apply for provincial nomination were issued to immigration candidates from the Skills Immigration (SI) and Express Entry BC (EEBC) streams of British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP).

Candidates under the Skilled Worker, International Graduate as well as the Entry Level and Semi-Skilled categories of SI and EEBC streams received invites in this draw.

The minimum scores for this draw ranged between 75 and 95 points.

The Express Entry BC (EEBC) Category allows BCPNP to search & invite qualified candidates with a valid profile in the Federal Express Entry system – the most popular pathway for skilled immigrants to obtain Canadian permanent residence.

The Skills Immigration Category of BCPNP is designed for skilled and semi-skilled workers whose occupations are in high demand in the province.

In order to receive an invitation for provincial nomination through the EEBC, candidates need to be registered under both the federal Express Entry system and B.C.’s Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) whereas Skills Immigration candidates only have to be registered with the SIRS.

All invited candidates under the Skills Immigration and Express Entry categories had an indeterminate, full-time job offer with an employer in B.C.

Candidates invited under the EEBC: Skilled Worker and EEBC: International Graduate categories will automatically receive an additional 600 CRS points toward their comprehensive ranking system (CRS) scores, if their applications get approved by BCPNP. This effectively guaranties them an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residence in subsequent Federal Express Entry Draw.

BCPNP has now invited over 6,000 immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination so far this year.
